HI - If you've landed here looking for Brenda Wootton, please click on this link to move to my new site at Brenda Wootton, as this site is no longer being managed or updated...
You've found Quiddity - a quaint and quirky online book and record store for my specific interests, which I sincerely hope will interest you too. It's an odd mix, but here you will find collective nouns, Cornwall's Queen of Song, Brenda Wootton, and a beautiful range of antiquarian books!
I'm thrilled to announce the launch of a new CD - 'Brenda at Buryan' - read all about it (together with all the lyrics) on the link on the top bar, or buy under 'Brenda Wootton/Albums/Brenda at Buryan CD' menu at the left...
Brenda Wootton, my mother, was a well-known and much-loved Cornish singer who took her joy of singing and love of Cornwall around the world in the 1970s and 80s - I've started with a book of her poems and a postcard, but look out for some rare copies of her vinyl albums, posters etc, which will be appearing soon, for aficionados.
Gallimaufry is my brand new opus on collective nouns - those endearing little phrases of which people seem so keen to compile lists - and I am no exception. I started compiling a list many years ago, and as it began to reach absurd proportions, I realised (or rather, hoped) that others might share my obsession. Now available to order!!
Delighted to see you here - and please do offer any suggestions, or add (polite) comments as you see fit.
Any questions - ask away.
PS: I also have an Etsy shop called 'Keepsies', on which I sell all manner of fabulous antique goodies - from Victorian through Art Deco to Mid Century Modern and Retro 1950s, ceramics, glassware, metalware and plastics. Take a look on my Bibliophilia page, or check the shop out here...
